About Me

Attaining good health is important, but so is feeling connected to the food you eat and your daily self-care. Through my personal and professional experience in the health and wellness field, I have found that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to feeling well and balanced. Everything about you, from your body to the way you look at the world is unique. This work of connecting to your food and self-care is a personal journey and has to be self-curated. I guide individuals into a more self-connected version of themselves by listening deeply to each client’s needs, motivations, and desires. As a registered dietitian and certified diabetes care and education specialist with 15 years’ experience, I assist my clients who are seeking guidance on how to use food to improve and manage certain diagnoses like diabetes, heart disease, IBS-D, autoimmune conditions like celiac disease and rheumatoid arthritis, to name a few.
My experience ranges from working in the clinical setting, to private practice, to working for organizations to create health and wellness programs and courses. I am a wellness speaker and present widely on topics related to the social determinants of health.
In addition to that, I have experience as a 500-hr + certified yoga teacher and a qualified MBSR Teacher (Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction). My counseling approach integrates aspects of intuitive and mindful eating, nutrition therapy, yoga and meditation. This integrative approach provides additional tools that are extremely effective in making long-lasting behavior change related to food, stress, and physical activity.
Along with individual counseling, I offer group series that focus on intuitive and mindful eating. This is a great way to support and be supported by others on a similar self-care journey.

You’ll enjoy working with me if:

  • You have tried restrictive eating and diets in the past and are looking to develop a healthier relationship with food
  • You want a structured integrative approach to nutrition therapy, healing, and self-care that encompasses multiple aspects of your life
  • You want to work with someone who is non-judgmental and compassionate
  • You want to work with someone who is trauma conscious and takes into consideration culture and race
  • You want to work with someone who has a passion for integrating the social determinants of health into your self-care plan.
Along with my love for the health and wellness world, I have a passion for art and ceramics. I love to integrate art therapy into my healing offerings as well. See more of my art and ceramics.
